Hittin the road

Not quite like Jack Kerouac or Hunter S. Thompson yet still with the same feeling of the need to discover what lies beyond the horizon.
That makes it sound really exciting, doesn't it?

I wish I were riding this mofo this weekend!

Actually there is work involved and pretty good work at that. I am going to be the host / toastmaster/ EmCee of a party constiting of approximately six hundred brothers and sisters of the iron horse! A massive gathering where folks will be letting off hundreds of miles of steam.

I won't be around until Monday and I am figuring that the amount of distance I put between my problems and their source will be reflected by the time it takes to resolve them.
Being on my bike lets me forget just about everything so that even if I am the greatest contributor to the hairy ball of bullshit, I can give myself a well deserved break.

Yeah, I will be posting pictures of the festivities, the band members, the other staff members, etc.
Did I mention that I am getting paid to do all this?
