Mute Monday- "N" New Yawk

I know that the Java Junkie over at the Karmic Kitchen Annex already did her version of this but I honestly couldn't think of an alternative, so this is my Mute Monday. My New York.

From the rotten core of the Big Apple......

I have been to that Starbucks!

I felt quite at home in NY since it is as filthy as India.

I have never been to a Starbucks in N.Y. I was passing by on na faily depessing day and the lights kinda cheered me up.

The hot dog stand must be the epitome of NYC :) Happy MM x

It's way different from the Karmic Kitchen New York. Which is cool.

Happy Mute Monday.

Great little travelogue! Pretty much the whole ambience of NYC captured in a few well chosen photos. Well done.

Terrific!

OF COURSE ya would also do a NYC theme--impossible to exhaust the topic.

Mah favorite is the blurry horse drawn carriage and the water fountain. (I has a pic jes' in mind of you, NYD.)

How'd ya do that fade in/ out thang?? cool.

Happy MM!

I would post pics of Atlanta but I don't have a camera and all my bandwidth is dedicated to hot J-bunnies.

NYC is the only city on earth with which I have an emotional relationship. Right now, we're doing the long distance thang.

I need that hotdog right now.

No I think that's perfect. Great theme and what is more perfect for a pic of NY than a hot dog stand. :)

Sounds like you're a bit homesick. Know the feeling when I was away. It's nice to go back to the roots we were reared from, whether it's the same or so much different. Time never stands still, but locations will always bring comfort when you have a smiling face waiting and a large Pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni, a six pack and a hug to make you feel better.

Always an open door

Cake~ I always thought cockroaches were the fitting image, but I couldn't get a snapshot of one.

Troll~ Yeah, the Java Junkie had all the hot spots covered. Carnegie deli gave me a hankering for a Reuben.

K-9~ The best thing about them dirty water dawgs is that they got so many chemicals in 'em that you don't need refrigeration. They never spoil.

Serena~ Thanks. It's pretty much what I see when I go home.

Aunty~ Some of the pictures have been photochopped. The horse and buggy was produced when I had taken a particularly blurry photograph and then fooled around with the watercolor mask. There are other shots where I use an Orton method to produce a soft feel to the picture.

Lime~ I kinda wish I were there right now.

Grant~ You keep doin your thang, friend. The world needs them bunnies.

Moi~ You and me both, sister!

Grunt~ I hear ya, man! That and an frosty cold beer would make the world feel right for a little while.

Vixen~ I have never seen a Sabretts man in any other city. Wonder if they exist anywhere else.

Anonymous-J~ Thinkin bout it, baby. I'm seriously thinkin about it.

Mrs.C~ We should all get together and have a blogger party in Manhattan.

JGrrl~ Yeah, I thought you would say that. Mrs. Double Entendre, you.

P.S. Like the new look of the blog and avatar. Very cool!

Knowing my luck, I'd get in line behind that Japanese guy who usually wins those hot dog eating contests.

I can't believe that I left out street vendors!!! There is nothing like a dirty water dog...
Happy MM!

I've been to the USA numerous times recently but haven't made it to NYC... yet.

Sorry for being late, but it was worth the wait... wasn't it?
