Eclectic and Electric

Today I bought my first electric guitar! I am happier than a pig in sheeeeeett!

I have already tried some Bob Marley and Tom Petty on it and all I can say is WOW!
Acoustic is really cool, but gettin sparky adds a whole new dimension to the music.

I don't know where I heard it, but someone told me to "invest in yourself. It's the only thing that pays a lasting dividend." I am very glad I decided to spend a few bucks on myself. I haven't smiled so much since... Well, since I last smiled this much! My cheeks hurt!!
Life Rocks.

Mona~ Never regret it, yes, but I will have to work even harder to show my wife I am not wasting our money.

P.S. She gets a shopping spree of the same value.

Lime~ Glad I can help out, Sweetie!

Kurt~ Amazing, isn't it!
I am dropping by the office tomorrow to see if the package has arrived. The suspense is killing me!!!

I sensed a disturbance in the force at 10:1O Tokyo time. Now I know why.

However, on the plus side, you tastefully left out how your cheeks hadn't hurt that much since prison. So I'm grateful for that.

Can you say "mid-life crisis"? Time to buy a Corvette and start hitting on Japanese schoolgirls. Wish I could join you.

Sweet...even Dylan went electric. Welcome to the club.

Oh and you are about to be removed from my blog roll!!! It’s nothing personal…I’m restarting for 2009 this Thursday. Were you at the top of the list in 2008? If not, here’s your chance to be. A single comment gets you on my blog roll. Keep commenting and you’ll stay at the top. Hope to see you in 2009!

Cool pics! Enjoy the axe for years to come!

Acoustic guitar is a gateway drug. Have you dabbled with stomp boxes yet? Those things are addictive.

Spin~ It'll be quite some time before I am posting any videos.

Crazy, yes- Narcissistic, no.

PUG~ Have you never heard of "Whatever happens in Folsom, stays in Folsom"?

Grant~ Funny I said a similar thing. Mine was more like: "Cheap ass mid-life crisis. I gotta get me a Harley"

Megan~ Shit happens, then I smile.

VE~ I love ya big guy, but can anybody say 'Blogwhore'?

NME~ Six, actually. I think thatthe Eagles, Steve Miller or the Gratefull Dead are more my speed.

Allan~ I hear ya, buddy. I gotta hold off on all the accoutrements. Got enough to learn about amps and stuff for now.

Sweet ax, man! The Les Paul type body is as sexy as guitars get. Plus, that style of guitar just feels all Pagey, if you know what I mean. I've just got a few more details on my guitar project and it will be finished. I've never worked on or played a Telecaster, so I've been going slow. I'm all excited. Now I feel like getting on the first plane to Japan and jamming with ya!

AWESOME! I bought my spousal unit a Fender Strat four Christmases ago and it was the best thing I ever did. Go, you!

That was me with the "lasting dividend" advice.

Enjoy the guitar but don't wake up the neighbors.

Things I do.

It's been said, By John Donne (and I'm sure that we could include the women folk in this phrase) that; "No man is an island&quo...
