The international date line penalizes me when I choose to write about holidays here on my blog.
By the time you read this the bacchanalian festivities will have ceased and the dipsomaniacs who, for one single rotation of planet Earth are allowed to let loose, howl and celebrate with great intensity of licentious behavior. They will be discovered passed out in alleyways, bars, jail cells and for the lucky, beds that aren't their own.
Actually I'm not going to write about St. Patrick's day. Others have done so with far more flavor and flair than I ever could. I was thinking about our, mine and Pat's; that is, similarities. Then I realized there were none and I had nothing left to talk about. I have already done a St. Paddy's post many moons ago and my redundancy alarm goes off every time a holiday comes along.
Hard as this will be to believe, I will be sober this St. Patrick's day and that's no blarney. I realize that sobriety on this auspicious occasion is considered uncivilized and borderline illegal, but I have been on the wagon since the end of last month and what had started out as a little R&R has become a full out vacation. So since there will be no Guinness for me this time around I guess I ought to stay at home and admire my new socks.

oh! you just can't imagine the great big grin that picture put on my face! i love it! #1 you got them on your feet. #2 you took a picture. #3 you look happy. #4 i just really dig the composition of the picture with the guitar, your reflection in the mirror and your feet front and center.
dances off happily (i am so easy to please, really)
Love the new socks! You are so cute!
I had to go back and check out the guitar.
Nice!
What lovely socks...and they will last far longer than a pint of Guinness!!
Those socks are trippy. Or maybe it's just the acid kicking in.
I'm kicking St. Patty's Day up a notch.
Now those are some cool socks!
I might actually have a beer today.
And very nice socks they are indeed!
A Happy St. Patrick's day to you - from one sober person to another.
Flavor and flair, indeed!
I will dedicate one of my Guiness to you and your socks.
Way cool socks.
I celebrate, but a single beer will do.
Lime~ The picture is they way I look most evenings after work. Glad I can brighten your day!
Spin~ I live in a country where cuteness is an art form "Cute" is one of the least used expressions used to describe me. I will not let in on what people usually say about me. lol.
JJ~ You got that right, sister! Besides I don't think you are allowed to drink Guinness while wearing tie-dye
Grant~ Bam! The Japanese are pathetic on St. Patrick's day. Then again drinking til' your blind and don't know the whereabouts of home is a daily occurance here.
Whimsey~ Yes! Throw caution to the wind and treat yourself to a mild stimulant!
Beth~ Sobriety is strange. It makes reality look all the more realistic. Ya know what I mean?
Megan~ I will tell the little green man you liked he words!
Citizen~ T'is not the amount of libation, dearie, but the amount of cheer in the glass that counts!
I love those socks!
Who needs Guiness when you've got cool psychedelic socks?! Happy St. Pat's.
Sam~ Have you dropped your old site?I went looking but couldn't find you!
SJ~ Trippy socks make any occasion more festive. That and a GratefulDead concert!
I don't even know when it is (was).
yup, I did leave the old domain and JG behind, issues with a certain ex-hub and some others poking about and harassing led me to believe that going back underground was the safest and most sensible way to go. Oddly (but happily) I find myself better able to speak on the new site, without any locals here getting offended and trying to call me on my emotions...
Ahhh, come on spill it. I wanta hear. *grin*
You mean there was a holiday? Was it a trippy sock holiday?
Do these socks make my feet look bigger?
I thought about you this past Saturday when I hosted an Asian themed wine tasting party. I gave all my guests Hello Kitty pencils as party favors. They were all, "Huh?" I said, "You have to understand Japanese culture . . . " And then I realized that I don't really, either.
So if you're 17 hours behind the western world in time, does that mean you're that much younger?
O DEAR!!!!!
What a coincidence!!!!!!!!
Go to my Blog and you will know what I am talking about!! :D :D
I love the socks as well. Send me a pair! Brings back the days of Psychotechniques when we all did a little tab to get thru the day. Wish I had those back when. My teachers wouldn't have misunderstood my intentions when I floated thru the hallways. Wink...
Glad to see your smiling face once again. Nice guitar too. HOpe you're doing well with practic. Wouldn't mind hearing a piece or two of your accomplishments.
Keep on trucking kiddo.
NYC misses you terribly.

Good deal!
The Woodstock hippies called and they want their socks back. :-)
Actually, I love them. I've been trying to find funky socks to wear with my work clothes. :-)
Those really are awesome socks!
